Special congratulations to Jessica, one of our scholars who just graduated in May!!
Jessica has 8 siblings. Her mother died after giving birth to the youngest daughter Angelina. Because of this her siblings became scattered everywhere since they had no home. She came to Balayan with her father who is a labourer for harvesting sugarcane.
Jessica had never been to high school. She took also an ALS course to get into college and now she has graduate with a Bachelor of Science in social work!
She had real dedication to finish her studies and now she's will be preparing for the board exams to have a license as a professional social worker, As the oldest daughter, she aims to reunite her family. And soon she will be working with us as a social worker to give back to TenFoundations!
I came from a family who could not afford to educate a child and to be a scholar of Ten Foundations is a big privileged and because of this a dream to finish studying can be fulfilled. And this SUCCESS is not only because of what I did, in my efforts and endeavour, but also because of the sacrifices and assistance provided and People of the Ten Foundation. So I am so grateful that I got to know Papa Ian Campbell and the TenFoundation family, specially the volunteers out there! A big big thank you to all of you po! You guys are really amazing for having a loving heart and helping hands! -Jessica
