Recently I put Bayanihan village on Airbnb, I thought we could accommodate some eco-tourists , guests can come and relax, and see what Ten Foundations is all about, and an extra much-needed source of income.

"We had the pleasure of staying in the guest accommodation at the Bayanihan Village this August. We were a group of 8 people, ranging from an elderly woman to young children, and found the traditional farm building to be perfectly suited to our needs.
The village is situated in an authentic rural setting, immediately surrounded by sugar cane plantations. Our children soon found themselves playing with the resident children and loved the farm animals at the village, especially the newborn baby goat. We were particularly intrigued by the local use of water buffalo (carabao or klabaw) for farming and transport. We saw these magnificent animals wallowing and being used daily by farmers as they went about their business harvesting and transporting crops.
Our visit was made particularly special by the hospitality of the Bayanihan family; the men, women, and children who lived and worked there. They prepared authentic Filipino food for us to share with them at their long table (accommodating our veganism in the process), and we immediately felt that we were a welcome and accepted part of their friendly group. The village has a feeling of peace and tranquility. Importantly, it was clear that ‘Ten Foundations’ has given its inhabitants and employees more than just security and employment; it has given them hope and aspiration. Children and young adults were keen to tell us that they were studying at university, that they had a future, and that this transformation was due to both their own hard work and determination and to the opportunities afforded to them by ‘Ten Foundations’.
Our time in the village passed too quickly, and we look forward to being welcomed there again."
