Some of the great things people have said about us and our bags!
-
We have worked with Ten Foundations for two years now and we cannot recommend their products highly enough. The bags are of the best quality and we love using the charity as an opportunity for teaching the children about helping others. It is an insight into a different community and culture. We love hearing about the progress being made by the ‘scholars’ and being able to see how the money is actually spent on the ground. Ian and the team do a wonderful job, long may it last’

We were delighted when Ian agreed to come to talk to our P6 classes as we had been studying Fairtrade as part of our WAU and thought this might link in. We were really inspired to see everything Ian has set up and how he helps the families in the Philippines. We were also amazed to see how our children embraced the idea of promoting and selling the Ten Foundations schoolbags to help Ian. It became part of our Literacy too as it helped the children develop their understanding of Persuasion. We look forward to next year and how we can help Ian and Ten Foundations further.

Four years ago I needed schoolbags for my 2 daughters, being fed up with buying expensive branded schoolbags that weren't lasting the school year, I was told about Ten Foundations. Being on a visit to Newcastle one afternoon I came upon their Charity shop and went in to see about a schoolbag. A large number of schoolbags were on display and after a lovely chat with the lady in the shop 2 schoolbags and 2 lunchbags were purchased!

St. Macartan’s Primary School is delighted to support the amazing work done by Ian & Ten Foundations. Our children & parents understand the life-changing difference buying one of their bags can make to a child in the Philippines. The bags are of superior quality - they’re still going strong after 4 years! Ten Foundations education packs & promotional videos help develop an awareness of social justice in our pupils. God bless you Ian and all for the outstanding work you do!

The lady told me the bags would last for years... I doubted that they would after my experience with other schoolbags, but after 4 years and multiple washes the bags are still going strong. One of the bags has transitioned from Primary School and is washed and ready for my eldest daughter who is going into 3rd year in Secondary school in September.. she carries considerably more in her bag these past 2 years than she did in Primary school and the bag has had no bother wih the extra load and has washed up like new yet again.

As a school, we love the opportunity to get behind Ten Foundations and the amazing work they are doing! Our staff and pupils were just captured by the idea and vision of this charity; that schoolbags could change lives. It's the perfect project for a school to support - not only do the children receive an extremely high quality schoolbag, but parents purchase the bag in the knowledge that it's making a difference to the lives of many in The Philippines. Ian has built such a strong connection with those families on the other side of the world and the efforts of everyone at Ten Foundations are extraordinary! We look forward to welcoming Ian back to The Diamond PS in the future.

Ian Campbell has been a visitor at our school, (St Malachy’s, Newry) on a number of occasions. The children call Ian “The Bag Man.” They love to hear about the people Ian helps in the Philippines. Especially ‘Darwena’, a little girl who needed an operation for a cleft palate. This particular life story resonated with the children as Darwena was the same age as some of our children. Ian and the team at Ten Foundations keep us up to date with Darwena’s progress and we hope to see her in person in the not too distant future. iles away, make a better life for themselves. Ian delivers his message with sincerity, hope and compassion and caters to children of all ages. Having a Ten Foundations school visit informs and educates young people as well as sending a clear and very important message. This action has had a ripple effect at St Malachy’s because Ian’s visits, mean school bags are for sale. The children are delighted to see the new and varied designs of the bags they can purchase. The Ten Foundations programme is one we are privileged to be part of and one we will continue to support.
