Congrats our scholar Aiahanie Regulacion on her graduation!
I just feel so moved and proud when I see our scholars graduating , our scholarship programme has become one of the most important things we do , it's just so wonderful seeing these young people working hard and achieving their dreams of a college education, but it would never happen without our great supporters and volunteers, thank you all so much! -Ian
These words from Arline , our manager:
While on our way to her graduation event, suddenly she spoke to me " it will be my first time to graduate , I feel happy but nervous." I just only replied 'it's okay, don't be nervous' but deep within me I felt teary eyed for her but I forced myself not to be in tears..
Congrats ate Aiahanie Regulacion..
Aiahanie never experienced a graduation . She was stopped going to school when she was in grade four. Her mother died with a breast cancer and her father died in his sleep , they were not able to determine the specific cause.
TEN foundation adopt her and gave her a chance to take an (ALS ) Alternative Learning System , a parallel learning system in the Philippines, when one does not have or cannot access formal education in schools, ALS is an alternate or substitute.
And four years ago she passed the ALS exams and got a certificate and she take the opportunity to proceed to college and took a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management course.
At first she was a bit troubled with all her lessons but later she was learning easily.
We cannot imagine each of our lives! We are so proud of her, but it wouldn't have happened without the Ten Foundations
I know that its not the end of her journey but at least we opened her doorstep to fulfil her dreams and to boost her confidence..
